The department Vehicle Control within Product Development is responsible for the definition, design and validation of feasible control concepts for vehicle functions, both in advanced technology projects as in product development projects. These control concepts are applied in all our trucks.
As Vehicle Control Specification Engineer you specify high level requirements and architecture of existing mechatronic functions as a basis for the new truck models.
The main tasks for this position are:
gathering available information from multiple stakeholders and sources, describing the functional architecture between functions and documenting requirements in Doors.
The functions are mainly powertrain and cabin related (e.g. Cruise Control or exterior light control).
You cooperate closely within a multidisciplinary team with different stakeholders, such as function owners, system owners, architects, test engineers and suppliers.
You are the linking pin for translating their input into a feasible control concept design.
